Christening/Witness Pins/Martirika Personalization Information and Policy
PROCESSING AND DELIVERY
Our company prints the ribbons every Wednesday and all orders are prepared thereafter. Once shipped, you will receive an email with the tracking number.
All Martirika/Witness Pins orders are prepared after we receive an order and they are considered Customized Orders because they are assembled and decorated according to the order received. Therefore all Pins with Personalized ribbons or Without Personalized ribbons are Not Returnable/Refundable except an error of Portara.

Minimum Order of 3 Dozens is required if ordering Christening Pins with Personalized ribbons. If you order any quantity less than 3 dozens, AUTOMATICALLY we would imprint 3 dozens ribbons and you will be charged for 3 dozens pins according to the price of the design you have chosen and you will receive 3 dozens pins. This is also stated under the description of every item and design of the Christening Pins . This policy is in effect because the printing company we deal with does not imprint any quantity less than 3 dozens = 36 ribbons.
If you miss the Wednesday's printing and you still want Personalized Ribbons, then your ribbons can be imprinted on any other day for a fee of $45.00 that would be added to the total of your order.
All Martirika/Christening Pins/Ribbons orders of any size will be ready in maximum of 10 days and then delivered to you via UPS Priority Mail Service.They arrive in a basket for easy handling.
If ordering between:
- 3-4 dzs a shipping fee of $16.99 will be added.
- 5-7 dzs a shipping fee of $19.89 will be added.
- 8-9 dzs, a shipping fee of $22.99 will be added.
- 10-15 dzs, a shipping fee of $25.89 will be added.
- 16-20 dzs, a shipping fee of $29.99 will be added.
- 21 dzs and Up, a shipping fee of $35.00 will be added.
- + UPS Insurance for the total value of the items shipped.
~ These fees will be added to your total after we receive your order.
CANADA orders will be notified by email about their shipping charges since these are International charges. UPS STORE send us an email with the Shipping charges and we forward that email to you.
PERSONALIZATION INFORMATION
Enter your personalization the way you would like it to read on every side on the ribbon. Christening ribbons are printed with the baby's or babies' name(s) on the left along with the born date and the baptism date and the Godparent(s)' names on the right side. If you are personalizing your ribbons with a different message, please let us know also in the comments section of the order form how you would like your personalization to be broken up between the two tails of the ribbon. If no instructions are given for non-standard personalization, the wording will be divided at the discretion of our printers. On other items please follow the instruction provided in the product description.
Please keep in mind that we convert all personalization to upper and lowercase letters except the baby's or babies'(s) and the Godparent(s) names. The baby's or babies' name(s) and the Godparent(s) names are printed always in CAPITAL letters. If you enter your personalization in all caps or all lowercase letters, we will automatically convert your wording as stated above. All capital letters cannot be done on most personalizations. If you need all capital letters or all lower case letters, please email us before placing your order with your personalization and we will let you know if it can be printed in all capital letters.
After the words "BORN" and "BAPTIZED" always is been put a semicolon.
Emblems can be imprinted ONLY on the ribbons with 1 line per side. It does not matter the width of the ribbon but it matters how many lines are imprinted. Thus ONLY if each side of the ribbon has 1 line then an emblem can be inserted.
Personalized ribbons of 7/16" width that fit one line per side and are used for a Baptismal Occasion, always on the right side of the ribbon is printed automatically the cross emblem and then the word: "+ Baptized:" except if otherwise you indicate differently.
Sometimes the month would be abbreviated when there is a word in front of the date such as: Baptized, Christened, Baby Shower, Bridal Shower, Engagement, First Holy Communion, etc.
The clarity and boldness of your ribbon will largely depend on the color combination that you choose. A light colored ribbon (pink, ivory, light blue) with a light colored ink such as Silver will not look very pronounced. With a light colored ribbon we recommend darker ink colors.
NOTICE: Our ribbons are satin and the imprinting is made with INK and NOT FOIL. The difference between them is that FOIL is shiny but temporary and it scratches off immediatelly while INK is not shiny but PERMANENT. We believe that this is a keepsake that would be remembered for years to come and you would like to keep it and have it. This is the main reason also why we offer you high quality satin ribbons with ink imprinting.

IMPORTANT NOTES AND RESTRICTIONS:
At Portara Gallery we do our very best to satisfy each and every customer to the best of our ability. While customer satisfaction is our number one concern, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Personalized ribbons are printed exactly as ordered, proofreading is the responsibility of the customer. We print what you provide. Due to the custom nature of these products, our telephone customer service cannot accept orders or make changes to existing orders. Customer service for the christening/witness pins/martirika is promptly provided via email ONLY.
Personalized items are not returnable / refundable unless an error of Portara, Inc. Customized orders to your specifications are not returnable / refundable.
If we make the error and there is enough time to rectify the mistake; then Portara will correct the mistake and No refunds will be given to anyone. If there is not enough time to rectify the mistake until the date of the Baptism/Christening printed on the ribbons, then Portara will refund your money back upon receive of the return merchandise.
If you receive your order and there is a mistake in printing, then you must contact us or notify us immediately within 24 hours of receiving your order. You must email us and explain the type of the mistake and we are going to assist you accordingly. We do not accept claims after 24 hours of the time of delivery. DO NOT RETURN the package with the personalized items to us unless we notify you by email and instruct you to do that. We must have a written explanation of the mistake and you must have a written respond from us for verification purposes.
Portara Gallery, Inc does not tolerate any returns or claims based solely as a result of the customer's oversights, erroneous shipping addresses, cancellation of events due to weather, not receiving your order on time due to the delays caused by the shipping companies such as UPS or USPS, personal or any other miscellaneous reasons that are beyond its control. Full refund will be given only if Portara Gallery fails to ship your order as promised or sent you the wrong items. Please be fair and sensible. If for example we ship your order and send you the tracking number and then USPS or UPS delays the delivery of your order beyond the expected delivery day; this is not our responsibility and we accept NO returns on any orders due to this delay and NO refunds will be made for those reasons. You must and have to communicate with the shipping company to rectify the mistake. This is beyond Portara's control.
All IMPORTANT NOTES AND RESTRICTIONS FOR CHRISTENING/WITNESS PINS/MARTIRIKA are reported to the issuing bank of your credit card exactly as they are stated on this page of the web site and under every page of the christening/witness pins/martirika section.
